Samsung is now joining in the trend of releasing smartphones that are cheap and economical. They are sell to enter this lucrative market with the Samsung Galaxy Core 2. However capturing this market won’t be so easy as they would have to compete with the likes of Motorola and Asus. It has a very high end specifications and features.

Display and other specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Core 2 comes with a 4.5 inch display that has a 800×480 pixels resolution . There is a Corning Glass protection for the display. It runs on a 1.2 GHz quad core processor of an unknown brand. There is 768 MB RAM and a 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD slot. The cameras are extremely good. There is a 0.3MP camera on the front and a 5MP camera on the rear. This allows you take pictures of very high quality and great clarity.

Other features of this phone

It uses the Android 4.4 KitKat OS which seems to have become a standard feature of most of the inexpensive phones. It also uses the TouchWiz Essence UI as its user interface. It is powered by a battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh. This should be enough for your phone to survive atleast a day. It has excellent connectivity features like dual-SIM support, 3G data usage and options that are basically found in all phones like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other such features.

Price and its potential in the market

This phone costs about Rs,11,900 which seems to be like the appropriate price for this phone. However selling this phone in the market is going to be a little difficult as there are other phones with similar or better hardware features at a much lower price. But Samsung has always found a way to beat off its competition and sell its phones irrespective of their shortcomings.
